Singing lessons will focus on developing the voice for children to adults and either studying for exams or for pleasure. A wide range of repertoire can be studied including classical, folk songs and musical theatre. Sight singing and aural training will also be given as part of the lessons. Simultaneous learning methods are used enable a wide range of learning experiences with each piece being learned.
For exams we usually use the ABRSM examination syllabi for classical and Musical Theatre and would expect most students to complete an exam grade within two or three terms; this is after beginners have reached a basic level of competence.
