We teach piano lessons where students can either study for exams or simply for pleasure. We teach the full age range from children to adults.
We always aim to carefully select material for students beginning their studies. Different resources are used depending on the age of the beginner. We use simultaneous learning methods to enable a wide range of learning experiences with each piece being learned.
For exams we usually use the ABRSM examination syllabi for classical and jazz and would expect most students to complete an exam grade within two or three terms; this is after beginners have reached a basic level of competence.
